Appreciate how the title brings this one together. I first thought of the U.S. full-time workday, eight hours plus one for lunch. The reference to the date came a little more slowly. So in my head it’s all tied up. One day per year of fireworks wasn’t enough to break the tedium for this guy. He needed something visually smaller, personally bigger.
